- Interview with host Jeong Minju

How did it feel to be a host of the concert?

It was an honor to host one of Michuhol's traditional events, a small concert. I was also very nervous, as I wanted to help my seniors and friends shine on stage by introducing the performers.

How do you think a small concert can impact students?

I think the small concerts are like a festival for Michuholians to de-stress, and I think it has a good effect on the students to be able to go to a concert with their friends and just forget about their troubles and stressful moments and enjoy the stage as one.

What was your experience as a host in this small concert?

I usually value experiences, so I felt excited and proud when I became the host of this small concert. I think it was a great experience organizing an event in front of many students. It was an honor to have my first emceeing experience at Michuhol Foreign Language High School.

- Interview with participant Cho Soomin

How did it feel to participate in the concert?

It means a lot to me that my friends enjoy watching my performance, and I've been able to develop a sense of collaboration by solving the various problems that I encounter while preparing for the show. Even before I went on stage, I had various issues, but when I solved them and went on stage and my friends were happy with the performance, it made me feel great.

How do you think a small concert can impact students?

I think that discovering new music that I didn't know about can have a primary impact, and it can make friends interested in a new field that they weren't interested in before. When I was preparing for the performance, I focused on Bruno Mars songs and originally didn't know anything about him, but by looking up various information on social media such as YouTube, I learned about social issues related to Bruno Mars and was able to expand my thinking. I also had more friends than I thought who were curious about Bruno Mars after hearing my song, so it was interesting in that sense, especially since it was a foreign song.

What was your experience as a participant in this small concert?

It was my first performance as a sophomore, so it was a new experience. I felt pressured because I had to perform after the seniors, but I had more friends than when I first performed, but I was encouraged by the fact that my teachers came to see my performance.
